What is Porphyria?
Porphyria is basically a combination of various medical disorders which gets passed on to the younger generations from their adults. It is a disease transferred through genes from the previous generations to the new ones. These disorders are known as inherited disorders and are passed on to families from families. This disorder basically causes abrupt production of Heme, a n important part of the Hemoglobin. Heme is responsible for carrying oxygen in the body and found especially in the blood or in the bone marrow but it is frequently present in the entire body. Porphyria usually attacks the skin and nervous system of human bodies but the area of attack totally varies from individual to individual. The one where skin gets affected it causes itchy blisters, weird swelling on their skin and reddish lesions. Those associated with the nervous system cause chest or abdominal pain, muscle pain, nausea, vomiting, muscle numbness, diarrhea, paralysis in extreme cases, cramping and major changes in mental health. It leads to various mental disturbances which sometimes cause serious mental disorders also. The disease when affects the abdomen leads to serious constipation in some patients.
